This small Indian village of Jaibalito is living out of time, away from the rat race and modern way of living, nested in a green valley with outstanding views of the lake and volcanoes. Artists, poets and musicians have over the years drawn inspiration from the dramatic landscape and idyllic seclusion offered by Jaibalito and its surroundings.

In 2003 The Train Station was created to promote their work and to bring about a better understanding of art practices, providing platforms for artistic expression, cultural exchanges and offering workshops to the natives as well as to tourists.
